Springsteen Top-10

My humble Top-10 all-time Springsteen:

1. Rosalita
2. Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out
3. Jungleland
4. Outlaw Pete
5. Born to Run
6. Land of Hope and Dreams
7. From Small Things (One Day Big Things Come)
8. The Wrestler
9. Held Up Without a Gun
10. Lonesome Day

The great thing about Springsteen though, is you really can’t go wrong.

  1. This seems like something I should be commenting on. I completely agree with the “can’t go wrong” philosophy. If you’ll excuse the snobbery, I’ll carve out one exception: Dancing in the Dark. That’s not trying hard enough.

Anyways, I probably would put anywhere between one and five of these on my Top 10. Jungleland for sure with Land of Hope and Dreams, Outlaw Pete, Tenth Ave., and Lonesome Day all right up there. Taking those out of the equation (except I can’t leave out Jungleland), here’s my run at it:

    1. Darkness on the Edge of Town
    2. Atlantic City
    3. Jungleland
    4. Into The Fire
    5. Maria’s Bed
    6. Long Walk Home
    7. Highway Patrolman
    8. Streets of Fire
    9. Backstreets
    10. Youngstown

I think that’s seven different albums. No entry from The River, which is one of my favorites. So yeah. I could have a Top 50 and haggle over it.
